How did the GMT BEAUTY story begin?
It all began in 2008.
At the time, experienced cosmetologists, dermatologists and chemists joined forces to create what was still missing from the Latvian professional cosmetics market: intelligent skincare — genuinely effective, natural, science-based skincare products for beauty professionals' everyday work.
That very idea has been woven into our name and philosophy from day one. GMT stands for "Green Meets Technology" — where nature meets technology. We bring together naturally derived ingredients and modern biotechnology to create skincare products that are effective, functional and versatile.

Not everyone knows that we carry out the entire development and production cycle of every GMT BEAUTY product right here in Latvia. From the first formula idea to the finished product on the shelf, everything is in our own hands.

GMT BEAUTY cosmetics were originally created for professionals — cosmetologists, massage therapists and other beauty industry experts.
Over time, however, at the request of professionals themselves, we realised that this kind of intelligent, professional-grade skincare needed to be available beyond the salon too. That is why we also created ranges for everyday home care.

Many years ago, we were called "cosmetics hooligans."
Not because we wanted to break the rules for the sake of it. We simply refused to blindly follow what was "accepted practice" in the cosmetics market.
We asked questions.
Does a product really need every ingredient traditionally included in it? Could a more multifunctional formula be created? Can professional-grade cosmetics be simple and convenient to use at home too? Can a Latvian brand hold its own in international markets?
We are still asking these questions today.
